Walt Disney World Announces New Entrance for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

From May 2025 through 2026, some areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are being refurbished. This work includes the reconfiguration of the front entrance roadway and bus area. While construction activity will be noticeable during daytime hours, efforts will be made to minimize disruptions.

All Resort dining, pools and amenities will remain available. Additionally, some views of the theme parks and other surrounding areas may be impacted. Please allow for extra travel time when arriving at or leaving the Resort.

Land clearing and preparation is currently underway in front of the porte cochere. There are currently no impacts to guests beyond visual impacts. The porte cochere remains available and the Great Ceremonial House remains fully open to guests. There are fewer parking spots after valet was forced to shift their operations as a result of land clearing in front of the resort.

The work to relocate the entrance to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is combined with roadway improvements to the nearby Floridian Way/World Drive, and the Seven Seas Drive. Extensive work is also planned to impact a portion of the Magic Kingdom parking lot utilized by Cast Members.
