Repairs are underway on a portion of the ceiling that collapsed within the Soarin’ Around the World queue at EPCOT. The repairs appear to be limited to a span of an area maybe 2-3 feet wide by 15-20 feet long. There are no restrictions or adjustments to either the queue or attraction at this time.

Ceiling Collapse at Soarin’ Around the World

The ceiling collapsed, sending wood and material into the queue recently at Soarin’ Around the World in EPCOT. The portion of the ceiling that collapsed was near the start of the queue, just past a sign that says “All Concourses” for the airport-themed queue. Note that both walkways seen in the photos below are in use by guests. The walkway to the left of the waist-high divider is for Lightning Lane, while the walkway on the right is for the regular standby queue.

It’s unclear how this part of the ceiling collapsed, or when the incident occurred, but it looks like the area has been secured. Walt Disney World did not return a request for comment.
