Construction walls have been shifted in the Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, aka the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop at Magic Kingdom. Following our report yesterday, the merchandise wall has been revealed, which sits on the exterior of a new room built for the Pirates of the Caribbean tavern. We made it out to Magic Kingdom to take a look around!

Pirates of the Caribbean Tavern Wall Doubles as Merchandise Space

Walt Disney World built a brand-new room for the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean tavern coming to Magic Kingdom later this year, taking over about 1/3rd of the Pirates of the Caribbean gift shop in Adventureland. The tavern/bar/lounge will primarily sit in the former Pirates League space, but Disney appears to have built a second room to accommodate an anticipated large number of guests who would like to raise a rum to piracy.

For more on our theory of a second room, check out our earlier article. For the remainder of this article, we’ll assume that we’re right.

As you can see below, a section of the Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar has reopened to guests as construction walls shift within the space.

We’ll start at the exit to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at our backs, as we look at a space that is far more closed in now thanks to brand new walls for the second room of the upcoming tavern. The walls are somewhat bare for now, but we’re sure that more theming will arrive to carry forward the highly-themed attraction that guests just disembarked.

The wall that cuts out here is for the new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern that will open in late 2025 at Magic Kingdom.

For a better idea of where the current construction walls are, they’ve basically taken over the former walking path that was open during the past few months. Here’s a look at the walls, which run from the attraction exit to the left toward the hallway to the restrooms on the right.

Other sections of the gift shop remain open. Here’s a look around the remainder of the gift shop.

Finally, here’s a look at some of the props that were behind construction walls. In speaking with Cast Members, we believe that some new props have arrived, paired with some of the existing props in the space. Honestly, I haven’t paid too much attention in the past, so I couldn’t say for sure. Here’s a closer look!

Elsewhere, construction walls remain open into the walkway, around the anticipated entrance to the tavern at the former Pirates League entrance, and into the queue of the attraction.
