In less than two hours, all reservations for the new GEO-82 Spaceship Earth lounge and bar have sold out. The new lounge joins the likes of Space 220, another EPCOT dining location, as one of the hardest reservations to secure at Walt Disney World. Reservations opened this morning shortly before 6am ET, and a recent check of reservations for parties of 2 to 6 guests are now sold out through July 5th – the furthest out that we can see reservations on the Walt Disney World website. Extremely limited reservation availability may pop up if you continuously check the website or the My Disney Experience app.
GEO-82 Spaceship Earth Lounge: EPCOT’s Hardest Reservation
GEO-82 is proving to be a very popular reservation at EPCOT, and it has instantly become the hardest reservation to secure at the park. More accurately, it probably shares that title with Space 220, which is one of the most unique dining experiences you can have at Walt Disney World as you head up to space to enjoy an out-of-this-world menu.
It will be interesting to see if GEO-82 relieves any of the pressure that Space 220 faces when it comes to reservations. I think both locations will end up being very popular for years and years to come. While we’ll have to see how logistics work for GEO-82, Space 220 does allow a limited number of walk-up guests per day, which might make it slightly more accessible than GEO-82 will be. The former is a third-party dining location and the latter is operated by Walt Disney World directly.
In terms of what to expect if you were one of the lucky few to secure a GEO-82 reservation, you’ll be met with some high prices, but perhaps a unique enough dining experience to make up for it. Disney describes GEO-82 as a “sophisticated hideaway nestled within the iconic geodesic sphere at EPCOT that’s home to Spaceship Earth”.
