Last week, The Seas Pavilion returned to normal operating hours after months and months of a shortened schedule. The return to normal hours coincided with the completion of interior construction on the escalators and surrounding areas. The shortened hours were likely put in place to allow “after hours” construction to take place before bedtime for the fish and marine life in the building. With interior construction now complete, the pavilion can return to normal park hours.
We made it out to EPCOT recently to not only take a look at the completed work but to spot some new exterior work – perhaps for a new sign for the refreshed pavilion.
Possible New Exterior Signage at The Seas Pavilion
We’ll start our look at The Seas with a look at what could be some new signage being prepared at the aquarium entrance. As you may know, there are technically two entrances to The Seas Pavilion. A lot of guests enter the pavilion through a slow-moving attraction called The Seas with Nemo & Friends. The exit to that ride puts you into the aquarium where you can explore various modules, or rooms, that highlight different sea life.
Another entrance is the one seen below. You skip the attraction, but you end up in the same aquarium. The area seen below also acts as the only exit to The Seas Pavilion.
In short, the area doesn’t have a lot of flash, and it isn’t very inviting to the average guest who may not know that it leads to an amazing aquarium and educational experience. A new sign here would make a lot of sense, and we can’t wait to see what it looks like (if it really is a sign).

Construction Completed Inside The Seas Pavilion
Heading indoors now, we’ll take a look at the area that was under construction during our last update in April. As you can see below, both escalators are now working and all construction walls have been removed from the interior of The Seas Pavilion.
In addition to the functional escalators, newly refreshed signage can be found in the viewing areas that were previously behind construction walls. Here’s a look around!
