It’s no secret that the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction has been facing issues ever since opening April 13th. The ride has been unreliable over the past few weeks, leading to Universal needing to implement a Virtual Queue to manage demand and access to the attraction. Now, Universal has announced that it plans on closing the ride for a week during the upcoming preview period. Here’s the latest.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry to Close Temporarily
According to Universal Orlando Resort, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry will be closed from May 10 – May 16. The ride is currently scheduled to reopen on May 17th for the final days of previews before the May 22nd grand opening of Epic Universe.
The queue will remain open for guests to explore and enjoy.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministryride will be closed, but The Ministry of Magic is planned to be open for self-guided tours. Availability subject to change.
Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry is, objectively, the best attraction at Epic Universe, but it has been having operational challenges for months. The ride did not open during most of the preview period for Team Members, and it will be forced to close as Universal attempts to get the attraction working properly before Epic Universe’s grand opening in a few weeks.
