According to the Walt Disney World website, EPCOT’s DiveQuest scuba diving experience will return on May 1st. The DiveQuest experience has been closed since late October as construction continued in the Seas Pavilion. Here’s the latest.

DiveQuest Returns to EPCOT

Back in September 2024, Walt Disney World announced changes to the Seas Pavilion at EPCOT. At the time, that included the temporary removal of the longtime resident manatees and the permanent removal of dolphins. As a result of the removal of dolphins, the Dolphins in Depth experience was discontinued. As a result of the expected construction, the DiveQuest experience was temporarily paused. Now, it’s coming back.

DiveQuest returns May 1st, with reservations now available. The experience will be available Thursday through Monday. The DiveQuest experience is $229 to $249 per person, with discounts available for Annual Passholders and other guest types. EPCOT Seas Adventures – DiveQuest lasts 2 hours, and you’ll spend approximately 40 minutes on your actual dive. You’ll also get a backstage tour to see the inner workings of the massive aquarium! You must be Open Water SCUBA certified to participate.

Qualified guests can take the plunge in Disney’s 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium at EPCOT, and swim with over 2,000 amazing aquatic animals. Clear waters and the absence of currents afford you amazing views of sea turtles, reef fish, stingrays and sharks.

Advance reservations are highly recommended, as availability is limited.

Make reservations online or via the My Disney Experience app. Same-day reservations and walk-ins can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability.
