Walt Disney World is ensuring that each and every Annual Passholder who might be thinking about visiting Magic Kingdom soon is aware of the new (temporary) Disney Park Pass theme park reservation restrictions. Notifications have been added to the Walt Disney World website and My Disney Experience app, ensuring Annual Passholders are aware of the new restrictions.
Disney World Notifies Passholders of Upcoming Restrictions
First, here’s a look at the notifications, present on the Walt Disney World Park Pass theme park reservation page, and on the My Disney Experience app. Passholders were sent notifications via the new notification center within the app, and a pop-up is present for Passholders visiting the Annual Passholder exclusive section of the app.
New Passholder Park Pass Rules Begin Soon
As outlined in the screenshot above, and on the Walt Disney World website, here are the restrictions that take effect July 20th – the opening night of the Disney Starlight nighttime parade:
- Before July 20, 2025: Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a good-to-go day or after 2:00 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park).
- For a Limited Time, Starting July 20, 2025: Passholders will continue to be able to enter EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park after 2:00 PM without a theme park reservation. However, due to anticipated high demand upon the debut of the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade on July 20, 2025, Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom park at any time of day (including after 2:00 PM) must have a theme park reservation.
The new Disney Park Pass restrictions were originally announced on May 28, 2025. As of publish time, Magic Kingdom is sold out of Park Pass theme park reservations for opening night, July 20th. Availability is always subject to change, and no new Park Hopping restrictions have been announced.
