While visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, we noticed that the Disney Jr. meet and greet area is now behind construction walls and the characters have been relocated. It’s unclear why the meet and greet area is under construction, but we assume it has to do with the upcoming Cool Kid Summer activation in the Animation Courtyard area. Walt Disney World did not return a request for comment. Here’s a look around!
Disney Jr. Meet & Greet Area Under Construction
All four of the meet and greet locations are behind construction walls shrubs in Animation Courtyard. At least one of the locations appears to be in a state of being dismantled. It’s unclear what the future of the area holds for these meet and greets. We will update you should Walt Disney World return our request for comment.
Disney Jr. Characters Relocated to Echo Lake
With their meet and greet locations unavailable, Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, and Vampirina have moved over to Echo Lake to meet with guests there. You should be able to find information about where and when you can meet each character in the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit. We stopped by earlier this afternoon and caught their final appearances of the day. In general, you should be able to meet the trio of Disney Jr. characters from morning until early afternoon.
Just like over in Animation Courtyard, each character meets individually, and there are separate lines to meet each. We found Doc McStuffins near the former Indiana Jones gift shop, next to the 50s Prime Time Cafe.
Next up, we found Fancy Nancy over near Dinosaur Gertie.
Finally, we found Vampirina enjoying the views of Echo Lake.
It’s unclear how long the Disney Jr. characters will meet around Echo Lake. We recommend checking the My Disney Experience app on the day of your visit.
