Good morning from Magic Kingdom, where the Astro Orbiter attraction is spinning high above Tomorrowland once again. The attraction is currently undergoing a test and adjust phase, and is not yet open to guests. That said, the attraction is cycling through to get some reps as it prepares for a Summer reopening. It is good to see the ride spinning again after a full rebuild, and we paused for a minute today to capture some video of the testing in motion!

We didn’t see anyone riding the Astro Orbiter during our brief check-in this morning, and it’s possible that the ride needs to get through so many empty cycles before people can begin riding it again. Here’s our video of the testing!

Walt Disney World has not announced a reopening date for the Astro Orbiter, but we expect that it will reopen by early to mid-August at the latest.
