More than a dozen theme park guests were on board an internal Walt Disney World Resort bus when a recent accident occurred. Disney cast members interviewed the guests, one of whom shared their experience in a video on social media. Buses are the most expansive transportation system at Walt Disney World Resort. They service every Disney Resort hotel, Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park, and even the ESPN Wide World of Sports. Buses supplement more novel but limited forms of transportation like the Monorail, Disney Skyliner, and watercraft. According to the guest, a car side-swiped the Disney bus, forcing it to stop with more than a dozen guests on board. Disney cast members reportedly interviewed every guest on board about what they felt and saw before the bus could move again. “A car side-swiped our bus at Disney so they’re having to take names for interviews on what we may have seen,” the Disney Park guest wrote alongside a video of Disney cast members walking through the bus. “(I saw and felt nothing).” @trey_2_extra #waltdisneyworld #busaccident ♬ original sound – EpicGamingMusic Everyone on the Walt Disney World Resort bus appeared physically unharmed after the accident, though potentially frustrated by
It’s been a whirlwind few days for longtime ABC News reporter Terry Moran. Moran made headlines in late April when he interviewed the president, and Trump got angry when Mr. Moran called him out for using a doctored photo to “prove” that a wrongly deported man was a member of a notorious gang. The interview also made waves when Moran had a visceral reaction to Mr. Trump saying that the Declaration of Independence was about “unity and love and respect.” Credit: Video Screenshot, ABC News Special Report Related: After $16 Million Settlement, ‘Good Morning America’ Anchor Calls Donald Trump Corrupt Unfortunately, those were minor headlines compared to the ones Mr. Moran would make on June 8, when he posted a long message on X (formerly Twitter) talking about Trump and his Deputy Chief of Staff, Stephen Miller. In the since-deleted tweet, he called both men “world-class haters” and that Mr. Miller’s spiritual nourishment is his hate, while Donald Trump’s “spiritual nourishment” was “his own glorification.” The tweet was removed not long after it was posted, but the damage was done. Mr. Moran was quickly suspended from ABC News, which quickly denounced his tweet. ABC said it “stands for objectivity and impartiality” and that Mr. Moran’s tweet violated that. With The Hall of Presidents lobby now open (but not the show), we have a closer look at some of the changes made by Imagineers during the closure. There have been a few changes to the display cases since we last documented the Presidential artifacts back in January. Here’s a rundown. New Artifacts in The Hall of Presidents By our count, there are three new artifacts and a few departures. Here’s what we noticed. NEW – James K. Polk Card GameIn a display case featuring artifacts from Thomas Jefferson, Franklin D. Roosevelt, and even George Washington, a new card game is on loan from the President James K. Polk Home and Museum. The card game is titled “The New World”, and it is an American History Card Game. While James K. Polk may have been the youngest president at the time of his election, his time in office was far from fun and games. During his four years at the White House, Polk took just 27 days off – the fewest vacation days ever taken by a U.S. president. In his rare leisure time, President Polk could often be found working hard to outsmart his friends and family in trivia games such as this one, which just so happens to feature Polk himself! The Polk card game replaced a bolo tie worn by Ronald Reagan. NEW – Photo of John F. Kennedy with kids and
A classic Magic Kingdom attraction is now roped off from guests. Credit: Inside the Magic Related: Disney Braces for Impact as Live-Action’ Snow White’ Dealt Grim Final Update When visiting Magic Kingdom, guests have many decisions to make, including, but not limited to, choosing where to eat, what to ride, and where to explore. The park is split into several distinctly themed lands, making exploration a top priority for both first-time and veteran guests alike. While Tomorrowland may have the best selection of thrill rides, other areas like Adventureland and Main Street U.S.A. are still worth a trip. Fantasyland remains the park’s most crowded and popular land thanks to its selection of rides and experiences. Fantasyland is home to several classic attractions, including the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Peter Pan’s Flight, and “it’s a small world.” Guests can also enjoy a few unorthodox attractions, such as Mickey’s Philharmagic, a 3D screen-based show, and Prince Charming Regal Carousel. However, none of the attractions at Disney World hold a candle (sword?) to Fantasyland’s ever-tempting sword-in-the-stone experience. Placed right in the central hub of Fantasyland, the sword in the stone has been the bane of many guests’ lives, teasing and taunting them as they explore Magic Kingdom. The game is simple: approach the sword, grab the sword, pull the sword out of the stone. This is easier said than done, as only those who are worthy can pick up the sword. It’s especially difficult to do so now, with the

It’s been a lengthy process, but it looks like we’re nearing the end of the Magic Kingdom parking lot project first outlined back in a 2019 permit. There have been a number of changes over the years to the Magic Kingdom parking lot, including the removal of the Walt Disney World Speedway, and some nearby changes to World Drive. While a lot of the 2019 permit did come to fruition, it looks like Walt Disney World will not expand the Magic Kingdom parking lot as they had outlined 6 years ago – at least, not right now. Magic Kingdom Parking Lot Expansion Going back to the 2019 permit, Walt Disney World said in the permit that they would be removing an 11.4-acre wetland from the middle of the Magic Kingdom parking lot, and that they would “replace that same area with a paved parking surface.”At the time, it seemed like Disney’s plans were to expand the Magic Kingdom parking lot. Now, that doesn’t appear to be the case. The area in question can be seen in the permit screenshot below as the circular green area. The permit lists its use as “fill/stock pile”, but later says that it will be paved. While visiting Magic Kingdom recently, we noticed that half of the fill/stockpile has been removed, and the area has been roughly graded and grass has been planted. The grassy area appears to be at an elevation inconsistent with the nearby parking lots on either
