On July 30, a Disney World ferryboat was heading into the Transportation and Ticket Center when it crashed into the moorings, leading to dozens of injuries. Since then, limited information has come out about exactly what happened that night, until now.

Blog Mickey was able to obtain the 911 incident log from that night, which sheds some new light on the extent of the injuries guests sustained during the crash. According to the report, 19 guests went to the hospital as a result of the injuries they suffered during the crash, including a 25-year-old pregnant woman who reportedly landed on her stomach when the ferryboat crashed.

The first call to 911 was placed at 11:40 p.m., when guests reported a “hard landing” at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Two minutes after the call, units were sent to the area and arrived 2.5 minutes later.

When crews arrived, they found a chaotic scene, as a hard rain made everything worse. One guest described the scene as “people weren’t just falling, they were flying.”

Upon arrival, emergency workers coded the scene as a “mass casualty incident,” which means that there were multiple injuries that needed attention; however, it does not mean that those injuries were life-threatening.

Emergency workers were dealing with approximately 20 injuries and called in other EMT workers from the Osceola and Orange County rescue units. In total, 19 guests were taken to the hospital by the various EMT services on the scene. They were taken to four separate local hospitals.

Among the injuries were a patient with a fractured foot, another with a wrist injury, one with an elbow, wrist, and hip injury, and a pregnant woman who fell during the crash.

Disney has yet to respond to multiple media outlets’ requests for comment on the incident. The only substantive change that has taken place is that Disney removed the trash cans from the ferryboats after a child was allegedly pinned down by a trash can during the crash.

While Disney investigates the incident, the ferryboats continue to take guests from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Magic Kingdom. Hopefully, everyone will remain safe.
