On Thursday, Walt Disney World Resort revealed the brand-new cast member costumes for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Magic Kingdom Park. The new outfits will likely debut alongside the Beak and Barrel tavern, a family-friendly lounge inspired by the Adventureland attraction, which will open later this month.
Earlier this week, Walt Disney World Resort announced that the Beak and Barrel would officially open at Magic Kingdom Park on Friday, August 29. The lounge is taking over the former Pirates League space next to Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar, the Pirates of the Caribbean ride gift shop. It will offer small bites and themed non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. Reservations will be available beginning August 14, and guests will only have a 45-minute window to experience the lounge (just like at Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios).

On August 7, Walt Disney World Resort shared a video of Disney cast members showing off the new costumes coming to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, the Plaza del Sol Caribe Bazaar merchandise location, and the Beak and Barrel tavern. The new outfits appear to combine different mix-and-match pieces, including shirts, pants, vests, shorts, sashes, and hats.

Walt Disney World Resort didn’t say when the new cast member costumes would debut, but it’s likely to coincide with the grand opening of the Beak and Barrel later this month. It’s also unclear whether Disney cast members will be allowed to mix and match the outfits on their own, or if certain costume pieces will be exclusive to the ride, gift shop, or tavern.
