Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is now closed at Magic Kingdom for a lengthy refurbishment. The Tomorrowland attraction had its final day of operation yesterday ahead of a soft relaunch of the attraction sometime in 2026. While the theme will remain the same, there will be some significant upgrades to the attraction, including new ride vehicles, handheld blasters, a brand new scene, gameplay improvements, and more! For a look back at the previous version of the attraction, check out our earlier article. Let’s head out to Magic Kingdom to grab some photos of the Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin refurbishment!

PHOTOS: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Closed

We stopped by Magic Kingdom this morning to take a look at the closed attraction. As you can see in the photos below, only the doors to the building have been closed. There are no construction walls at this time, signaling that initial work will be indoors. We’d love to see some queue improvements along with the previously announced ride updates, but Disney hasn’t mentioned anything beyond the scope of the ride.
