In addition to a world-class lineup of haunted houses and scarezones, Halloween Horror Nights is trying something new this year with “street experiences”. Details are still very scarce on the two experiences, with Universal Orlando Resort promising more details soon. Here’s a look at artwork for the two street experiences, along with some speculation about the offerings.
Mel’s Die-In Zombies & Club Horror

Mel’s Die-In Zombies
Starting with Mel’s Die-In Zombies, Universal is building upon a fun easter egg of sort that has been present during past Halloween Horror Nights. Fans of the event may remember that the “Mel’s Dine-In” sign has been modified during Halloween Horror Nights to blackout the “R” and “V” in the sign, creating “Mel’s Die-In”.
Now, Universal is creating an actual experience where it looks like Zombie carhops from the 50s-inspired dining location will interact with guests.
Club Horror
Club Horror is a more of an unknown, with rumors placing it in the San Francisco area of the park. Here’s guests will find an “undead DJ” and more.
Again, Universal will release more details on these experiences soon, so be sure to check back with us as the August 29th start of Halloween Horror Nights approaches!
