On July 1, 2025, much of Magic Kingdom Park flooded, and multiple Walt Disney World Resort guests shared their experience in videos on social media.
Central Florida is no stranger to inclement weather. During the busy summer months before hurricane season, Disney Parks fans know to expect at least one shower every day. The cool rain can certainly be a reprieve from the humid, blazing heat!
Unfortunately, some days come with more than a 15-minute burst of rain. Magic Kingdom Park is notorious for flooding when lengthy showers come, and Disney cast members can even be spotted throughout the park sweeping rainwater into sewage grates.

For some reason, Tomorrowland often experiences the worst flooding. The incident on Tuesday, July 1, was no exception, as several Walt Disney World Resort guests shared footage of floodwaters in the futuristic-themed Magic Kingdom Park land.

TikTok user @michrobich91 shared this clip facing the Space Mountain and TRON Lightcycle / Run gift shop, Tomorrowland Launch Depot. “Not letting the rain stand in our way,” the Walt Disney World Resort guest wrote.

Several Disney Park guests are visibly running from the rain, wearing ponchos to stay as dry as possible. Still, a few kids made the most out of the storm, playing in the water as if Walt Disney World Resort had purposely installed a pool inside the original Central Florida Disney park!

Another video from @kates_takes_ shows multiple angles from the Magic Kingdom Park flooding, including an aerial shot from the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover:
@kates_takes_ It’s raining it’s pouring and magic kingdom is floooding! The rain came down so bad that the water was over my shoes. #disneyparks #disneytiktok #waltdisneyworld #florida #orlando #magickingdom
“It’s raining it’s pouring and magic kingdom is floooding! The rain came down so bad that the water was over my shoes,” the video’s caption read.

Typically, floodwaters disappear from Magic Kingdom Park within a few hours. If you’re heading to Walt Disney World Resort anytime soon, pack your poncho…even if there’s no rain in the forecast. You’ll thank us later!
