Annual Passholders looking to preview Test Track will have to follow some specific rules during the upcoming preview period, and you’ll have to act quickly if you want to be one of the first to preview the reimagined ride at EPCOT. As we reported yesterday, Annual Passholder previews of Test Track will begin July 13th. Now, that date has sold out of Disney Park Pass theme park reservations for Annual Passholders, but fear not, there is still an opportunity to ride. Here’s the latest.

Test Track Passholder Preview Opening Day Sold Out…Sort Of

In order to experience Test Track during the preview period, Passholders will be required to join a Virtual Queue. The Virtual Queue will open at 7am and 1pm. In order to join the 7am Virtual Queue, Annual Passholders are required to have an EPCOT Disney Park Pass theme park reservation. That’s where the hangup is.

As you can see in the Disney Park Pass theme park reservation calendar below, the first day of previews (July 13th) is now sold out of reservations for Annual Passholders.

Availability could always change, so keep an eye out. In fact, we saw that the theme park reservations were marked as “sold out” pretty quickly after the preview announcement yesterday, but then they opened up again yesterday evening. Now, they have been marked as sold out for hours, leading us to believe that this “sold out” status may hold this time.

Either way, fear not loyal Passholder. If you didn’t secure an EPCOT theme park reservation for the 13th, there is still a way that you can join the preview that day. The 1pm drop does not require that you have a theme park reservation. In fact, the 1pm drop doesn’t even require that you have entered a theme park at all that day.

That means that you have a chance at riding Test Track during the first preview day on July 13th even if you don’t have an EPCOT theme park reservation. That said, we expect that the 1pm drop will be as competitive as the 7am drop, if not more, so Virtual Queue reservations could go quickly.

Of course, all other preview dates remain open and available on the Disney Park Pass theme park reservation calendar as of this morning, so we’d recommend securing a date that you’d like to visit to give yourself a chance at both the 7am drop and the 1pm drop.
