Good morning from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Earlier this morning, we gave you a first look at the size and location of the ride building for the upcoming Monsters Inc. door vault roller coaster. Now, we have another first look – the removal of the Miss Piggy fountain and start of demolition of Muppets Courtyard.

Muppets Courtyard Demolition Begins at Hollywood Studios

Before we take a look at the construction site from our visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios this morning, here’s a look back at our last view of Miss Piggy over the construction walls from before demolition began.

And here’s a look at the area today, with Miss Piggy removed as demolition in the area begins.

You may also notice that there is no foliage in the background. A number of trees have been removed, offering a clear shot down an alley that runs between MuppetVision 3D and the Studio 1 Company Store. Trees have also been removed from a seating area near the Studio 1 Company Store. As a reminder, the shop will be completely demolished to create a courtyard in the upcoming Monsters Inc. Land.

Elsewhere, little work is visible beyond the removal of some flags from the PizzeRizzo dining location. The PizzeRizzo sign is still in place, and even chairs and tables haven’t been removed yet.
