According to the Walt Disney World Park Pass theme park reservation calendar, park reservations are sold out for Magic Kingdom on July 20th. This is the official debut date for the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away nighttime parade. As a reminder, Disney changed the rules for visiting Magic Kingdom without a theme park reservation in anticipation of increased demand at the park. Here’s more.
Annual Passholder Theme Park Reservations Sold Out for Disney Starlight Debut
As seen in the screenshot below, Park Pass theme park reservations are sold out for July 20th. All other theme parks remain available at this time, which would allow Annual Passholders to park hop, as available.
Park Pass reservations are only sold out for Annual Passholders. Many ticket types do not require a theme park reservation anymore.

As for the changed rules, Disney is effectively eliminating the new 2pm rule starting July 20th. Here’s the change:
- Before July 20, 2025: Annual Passholders may visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation on a good-to-go day or after 2:00 PM (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom park).
- For a Limited Time, Starting July 20, 2025: Due to anticipated high demand, upon the opening of the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade on July 20, 2025, Passholders visiting Magic Kingdom park at any time of day (including after 2:00 PM) must have a theme park reservation. Passholders will continue to be able to enter EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park after 2:00 PM without a theme park reservation.
The Park Pass theme park reservation rules will go back to normal once Magic Kingdom crowds normalize following the debut of the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade. Walt Disney World has not announced any restrictions on park hopping at this time.
