One of the biggest dining discounts Disney World has offered in recent memory is about to shift—and if you were planning on taking advantage of the 40% off deal at select restaurants, you might want to check the calendar.

As part of the ongoing “V.I.PASSHOLDER Summer Days” campaign, Annual Passholders have been enjoying a very generous 40% discount at a handful of popular table-service restaurants across Walt Disney World. But that limited-time offer, which has been available Monday through Thursday this summer, is going through a bit of a shuffle.

The current lineup of restaurants offering the discount is changing starting July 1—and not everyone’s happy about it.

What’s Changing (and What’s Being Cut)

Let’s get right to the news: if you were hoping to dine at Boatwright’s Dining Hall, Cape May Cafe (dinner only), Hollywood & Vine, Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood, or Tusker House Restaurant (lunch and dinner only) and save 40%, your time is running out. These locations will no longer offer the discount after June 30, 2025.

In other words, this is your last week to book a reservation and grab that discount at these fan-favorite dining spots.

New Restaurants Coming July 1

Now, Disney isn’t pulling the deal altogether. The discount will continue—but at a completely different lineup of restaurants. From July 1 to July 31, Passholders will be able to save 40% at:

  • Ale & Compass Restaurant (breakfast and lunch only)

  • Coral Reef Restaurant

  • The Diamond Horseshoe

  • Tiffins Restaurant

  • Whispering Canyon Cafe

As before, the discount is only valid Monday through Thursday and only for dine-in service. Alcohol, tax, and gratuity aren’t included, and Passholders must show their Annual Pass ID in the My Disney Experience app, along with a valid photo ID.

You can also bring along up to three Guests, so long as the Passholder is the one footing the bill.

Important Things to Know

If you’re planning to take advantage of this discount, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Dining reservations are highly recommended. Table-service restaurants tend to fill up fast, especially when a promotion like this is in place.

  • Discounts can’t be combined with other offers, special events, or dining packages.

  • The offer is only valid Monday through Thursday, so if your trip lands on a weekend, this deal won’t apply.

  • Theme park reservations may still be required depending on your date of visit and which park you’re entering.

And speaking of park reservations—starting July 20, 2025, if you want to visit Magic Kingdom at any time of day, you’ll need a reservation, thanks to the expected crowds for the debut of the new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. The other Disney parks remain open to Passholders after 2:00 p.m. without a reservation, but you’ll need that reservation for Magic Kingdom any day, regardless of the time you plan to visit.

Should You Be Disappointed?

Some fans are definitely feeling a little disappointed by the change. The initial batch of restaurants included some high-demand, harder-to-book locations like Toledo and Hollywood & Vine—spots where a 40% discount went a long way. The upcoming restaurants aren’t bad by any means (looking at you, Tiffins), but the list may not be as appealing to certain regulars.

If you were planning a trip specifically around dining at one of the outgoing restaurants, it might be worth rescheduling to fit it in before June 30. Otherwise, consider giving one of the newer options a try—Whispering Canyon Cafe, in particular, has a reputation for great food and an even better atmosphere.

Don’t Wait Until It’s Too Late

With discounts this steep, it’s no surprise that availability at some of these restaurants disappears quickly. If you’ve been eyeing a meal at one of the restaurants currently on the discount list, this week is your last shot to lock it in with 40% off.

And for those planning a July trip—don’t forget to bookmark those new participating restaurants. It may not be the same lineup, but anytime Disney offers 40% off meals to Passholders, it’s worth paying attention.

As always, Disney notes that all participating restaurants, dates, and offers are subject to change without notice. So be sure to double-check before making your final plans—and bring your appetite!
