To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Jaws (1975), Universal Orlando Resort is teasing a one-day-only experience that’s exclusively for Annual Passholders.
The Universal Orlando Annual Passholder (UOAP) Lounge inside Islands of Adventure will be the epicenter of the mystery this Friday, June 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. But as of now? Nobody knows exactly what’s coming.
That’s the cryptic tease shared by Universal Orlando’s official Passholder Instagram account, prompting a wave of speculation. Could it be a special meet-and-greet? An interactive photo op? Some have pointed out that Universal Studios Hollywood already has a Sheriff Brody and Quint meet-and-greet happening during their Mega Movie Summer celebration, so maybe that’s sailing east? Or maybe it’s something entirely different meant just for Orlando’s loyal passholders.
Whatever it is, Universal isn’t giving it up just yet—and that’s only adding to the buzz.
A Historic Day for a Movie That Changed Everything
Friday’s limited-time experience happens to fall on the actual anniversary of Jaws, which debuted in theaters on June 20, 1975. Steven Spielberg’s ocean thriller didn’t just become a cultural icon—it basically invented the summer blockbuster. At the time, it was the highest-grossing film ever released.
Universal has gone all-in on honoring that legacy across the resort this summer.
