On Wednesday, Walt Disney World Resort confirmed more details about the replacement show coming to the Tree of Life Theater at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. The original show, It’s Tough To Be A Bug!, closed permanently on March 16, 2025.

Walt Disney World Resort first announced plans to replace It’s Tough To Be A Bug! in September 2023, promising a Zootopia (2016) themed replacement. The new show, “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!,” is set to open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park sometime in winter 2025. An exact date hasn’t been announced, but the premiere will coincide with the theatrical release of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Zootopia 2 (2025).

Walt Disney Imagineering hasn’t shared too many details about the new show, but they have promised the return of the original voice of Judy Hopps, Ginnifer Goodwin. Goodwin will also sing an all-new song written for the attraction. Several pieces of official concept art also hint at an advanced Clawhauser audio-animatronic, like the one in Zootopia: Hot Pursuit at Shanghai Disneyland.

On June 18, Walt Disney World Resort dropped some more details about Zootopia: Better Zoogether!. According to X (formerly known as Twitter) user @DrewDisneyDude, the company provided an all-new description of the 3-D show.

“Join Officer Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other favorites from the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios movie as they come together in a new, original story featuring stunning visual effects and interactive surprises,” the official attraction description reads.

Walt Disney World shared a new description for “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” opening in late 2025 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom:

“Join Officer Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other favorites from the hit Walt Disney Animation Studios movie as they come together in a new, original story featuring stunning visual effects and interactive surprises.”

Zootopia: Better Zoogether! will premiere inside the Tree of Life Theater sometime in late 2025. Like It’s Tough To Be A Bug!, the attraction won’t have a height or age requirement.

This attraction comes amid other ongoing transformations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Much of DinoLand U.S.A. closed in January to make way for Pueblo Esperanza, a Tropical Americas-inspired land rumored to open sometime in 2027. The new area will feature two attractions inspired by Encanto (2021) and an Indiana Jones retheme of DINOSAUR.

The Boneyard play area will close permanently in September. The rest of DinoLand U.S.A., including several Quick Service dining locations and DINOSAUR, are expected to remain open through the end of 2025.
