The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992) has long become a cherished holiday classic. But despite its enduring popularity, it has yet to inspire a themed attraction at any Disney Park.
Disneyland Paris is undergoing a significant transformation, with Walt Disney Studios Park set to be reimagined as Disney Adventure World. This major expansion includes the introduction of new themed lands such as World of Frozen and a Lion King-themed land.

Amid these developments, the absence of a Muppet Christmas Carol attraction presents a huge opportunity. Imagine a slow-moving dark ride that immerses guests in the snowy Victorian streets of London, as depicted in the beloved 1992 film.
Utilizing audio-animatronics of the Muppets themselves, the ride could even bring to life characters like Kermit’s Bob Cratchit and Michael Caine’s Ebenezer Scrooge, while guiding visitors through scenes featuring the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.
The experience would, of course, be enhanced by the film’s memorable musical numbers.
While the Muppets have had a presence in Disney Parks, with Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and seasonal offerings like The Muppet Christmas Carol photo op during Disney Hollywood Nights, a permanent attraction would fill a huge gap.

As Disneyland Paris continues its expansion, embracing the festive spirit and timeless appeal of The Muppet Christmas Carol could enhance the park’s charm by offering guests a new, heart-warming adventure adapted from one of the most beloved holiday classics of all time.
“The Muppet Christmas Carol sees The Muppets perform the classic Charles Dickens holiday tale, with Kermit the Frog playing Bob Cratchit, the put-upon clerk of stingy Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine),” Disney’s official description reads.
“Gonzo, as Dickens, narrates the story with the help of Rizzo the Rat. The film also features Miss Piggy as Emily Cratchit, Gonzo as the narrator Charles Dickens, Fozzie Bear as Fozziwig, and Robin the Frog as Tiny Tim. Scrooge receives visits from spirits of three Christmases – past, present and future. They show him the error of his self-serving ways, but the miserable old man seems to be past any hope of redemption and happiness.”
The Muppet Christmas Carol stars Kermit the Frog/Bob Cratchit (Steve Whitmire), Miss Piggy/Emily Cratchit (Frank Oz), The Great Gonzo/Charles Dickens/Narrator (Dave Goelz), Fozzie Bear/Fozziewig (Frank Oz), and Ebenezer Scrooge (Michael Caine).
