This summer, a new Disney Vacation Club Lounge is set to open at Magic Kingdom. The lounge is in a section of the park currently referred to as “Frontierland”, but that could change as the Northwest corner of Magic Kingdom undergoes a massive transformation in the next 5-10 years. Staying on topic, the new DVC lounge is called McKim’s Mile House, and it replaced the former Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade. Today, DVC shared a first look at the mural that has been painted on the exterior of the facade. Here’s a look!

The mural really hits the nail on the head and is more of a marketing ploy than anything else. McKim’s Mile House will be exclusive to select Disney Vacation Club Members. The DVC social media post says that the lounge is “headin’ your way real soon!”, but an exact opening date has not been announced yet. Officially, the lounge is set to open this Summer.

Nestled in the heart of Frontierland in Magic Kingdom park, Disney Vacation Club McKim’s Mile House – A Member Lounge offers a cozy and convenient retreat for Members to share stories and recharge during their day of fun. Experience the rustic charm of a space inspired by boarding houses that accommodated tired train travelers during the Gold Rush days of the American West.

The “McKim” name is a nod to the late Disney Legend Sam McKim, a Western-film-star-turned-Disney Imagineer whose visionary artwork helped shape some of Disney’s most iconic places in Frontierland and beyond.
