After nearly a year missing, the Oscar’s Super Service tow truck has returned to the entrance of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The prop tow truck has been missing for nearly a year after being removed sometime in January 2024. The tow truck has no function other than to advance the story of Oscar’s Super Service, which is the theming for the stroller, ECV, and wheelchair rental venue at the park. We were a little bit concerned that the prop tow truck wouldn’t return after 6 months missing, but we noticed that it was back at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during our visit today!
Oscar’s Super Service
Located to the right of Hollywood Boulevard right when you walk into the park, Oscar’s Super Service is themed to a gas station and auto repair shop. The tow truck is parked nearby, and able to help tow a car back to the station if it needs service. Oscar’s Super Service has been at the park since it opened in 1989 and while the vehicles parked out front have changed over the years, the tow truck has become iconic at this point.
The truck looks great following its refurbishment where it very clearly received a new coat of paint. Here’s a closer look!
