Tickets for Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe theme park are now on sale, and while opening day will certainly be filled with excitement, it will not be the first time that guests are able to enter the theme park. Universal Orlando Annual Passholders will have “soft opening” previews before the park opens to all guests on May 22, 2025, and Universal says that they will announce the exact details in the coming months.
Epic Universe Annual Passholder Previews
First, here’s the statement from Universal Orlando, with emphasis added by us.
Universal Orlando’s fourth amazing theme park opens in 2025. Starting October 24, Passholders have the special opportunity to purchase single-day admission* to Universal Epic Universe before single-day tickets go on sale to the general public. Link your Pass to your Universal Account Wallet for the easiest way to purchase. Additional ticket products will be available at a later date. Plus, look for information regarding Passholder soft opening opportunities in the coming months!
It remains to be seen what the exact details are of the preview, but we expect that Universal will want to have a robust slate of previews in the months and weeks leading up to the grand opening, with a mix of Annual Passholder and Team Member previews, starting with the latter.
If I had to guess, there would likely be some priority given to higher-tier Passholders when it comes to either the selection process or opportunity availability.
In a separate spot on the Universal Orlando website, Universal hints at the preview opportunities, noting “Tickets may be available to select audiences prior to May 22, 2025 opening date”.
If you’re an Annual Passholder looking to secure a day at Epic Universe, Universal has announced that Passholders will get a special opportunity to be the first guests allowed to purchase single-day tickets. While multi-day tickets and packages are now on sale, Passholders will have access to purchase single-day tickets starting Oct. 24th. Note that the single-day tickets are actually “add-on” tickets that are linked to individual existing Annual Passes and are not exactly standalone tickets. Universal Orlando has not yet announced the on-sale date for general public access to single-day tickets.
As you may know, Universal Orlando does not currently sell Annual Passes that have access to Epic Universe yet. That said, Universal Orlando does plan on selling an Annual Pass that includes access to Epic Universe in the future and said that more details regarding Annual Passes that include Universal Epic Universe will be announced at a later date.
