Ever since Disneyland announced that they were going to add Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway to Mickey’s ToonTown at Disneyland, I’ve been over here thinking that it was going to be an actual carbon copy of the same attraction we’ve got in Hollywood Studios, but boy was I wrong, at least about the queue! Honestly, I should’ve known better, as pretty much every little detail is just a little more pixie dusted at Disneyland.

D23 and Disneyland have shared the first official image of the outside of the attraction sitting there looking as though it has been in ToonTown FOREVER, plus even more photos of the guest queue inside. I love that the rolling hills are showing behind the attraction to block anything guests might catch a glimpse of in Anaheim.

There are so many Easter eggs and details in the queue – it’s literally a feast for your eyes! In fact, Disneyland has provided a list of some of the details you’ll be able to see; I’d be willing to bet that there are more!

First of all, I feel like the movie posters below are so fun to see right away as you step inside. After all, you are walking right into the El CapiTOON Theater, and all theaters are supposed to have movie posters, right?

Take a look at this absolutely adorable, sugar-loaded concession stand, complete with Laugh O Grams!

Next, we move into a large room where we’re reminded that “it was all started by a mouse…” There are some interactive items for guests to “play” with, along with Sorceror Mickey there in the back.

Since we aren’t walking through the queue ourselves, we can’t say for certain what the order is that guests will see all of this fun, but take a peek at what’s been shared so far to see what you have to look forward to! The attraction opens to guests in just two days on January 27th!

Mickey Through the Years

Hold up, is the popcorn shaped like Mickey heads? (insert heart-eyed emoji here) And I’m loving the 1928 reference as well.

I’m going to be honest and say that I can’t remember what the Easter egg is in the photo below, so if you know, please share it in the comments. In the meantime, I am super-jazzed about how many differences there are outside of and inside the queue at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland and I can hardly wait to see it with my own eyes!
