Per the OC Register, it sounds like there won’t be a traditional line so-to-speak to board the new Toontown MMRR. Rather, you’ll have to reserve through the app or buy your way to the front of the line with Lightning. While I can see how this makes sense for families with young children who don’t want to spend two or three hours in line (the target audience especially for Toontown), I’m concerned that this will further cement the app-ification of the Disneyland experience (it’s not just food anymore) and will further devalue the enormously expensive gate entry fee (most fun goes to the highest bidder).

Is this the way that everything will be going at the parks in the near future? Are they already going no-line for any other rides that I haven’t noticed?
