Cafe Orleans at Disneyland Resort is one of my favorite sit-down spots. If you’re unable to get a reservation down the way at Blue Bayou (it can be tough to snag a reservation there!), Cafe Orleans is the next best place, and I’ve found it much easier to get a reservation there. Blue Bayou is known for its delicious Monte Cristo sandwiches, but New Orleans Cafe also has those on its menu. New Orleans even kicks it up a notch and serves their Monte Cristo’s with delicious parmesan garlic fries. This is my go-to each time I’ve gone to Cafe Orleans, but they recently updated their menu with some new items, so I decided to stop by a few days ago for dinner to try one of the new dishes. Here is a look at their new, updated menu:

Guests have recently taken to social media to share that Cafe Orleans’s delicious shoe string parmesan fries have been updated to a thicker french fry, one thing that isn’t blatantly clear on their menu. Their fries were amazing before, so having a thicker french fry will be a hit and a miss with some guests who enjoy their fries more on the skinny side. Another change to the menu is that they’ve removed their Shrimp & Grits. This was another favorite on the menu, so I was a bit disappointed to see that one go! New items now include Tuna Tartare, House-Made White Bean Hummus, and Steak Frites. New dessert items are Creme Brulee and Macarons.

The Shrimp Pasta was not the best I’ve ever had, but it’s a decent try if you like shrimp! The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was really light. In my opinion, when you have a thicker noodle, the sauce should have more of a bold flavor. The sauce in this dish was a little bland and could’ve used some garlic and/or lemon. I would, however, order this dish again!

For dessert, I had the Creme Brulee, and it was really good! I’ve had their seasonal Christmas Creme Brulee, and I have to say that dessert actually blew me away compared to this original one. But hey, you really can’t go wrong with Creme Brulee, and I highly recommend this for dessert if you have a sweet tooth at the end of your meal. Between this and the Macarons, I don’t think you can go wrong with either dessert option!
